My Deep Connection with my Sisters

We have been busy. Erin, the Executive Assistant here at the GAHP and my little Sister just got married. We have been wrapping things up in the office because she’ll be gone for the next 1 1/2 weeks for the wedding and honeymoon.

I have been reflecting all week on how the wedding is such a transition in the family and all of our relationships. It is exciting and also makes me think back to when she was born, which was when I was in my first year in College! I love that even though we have a big age difference we have been able to create a really close connection.

When Erin was young my other Sister, Nessa and I would invite her over to spend the night (Nessa and I were living together.) When Erin was older we initiated Sisters Weekends, which we started when she was in High School. Here is a picture of the 3 of us, plus my dog, Niyo at our Parents cottage years ago. The conscious effort to create deep connections with each other has paid off and we feel so lucky now to enjoy this wonderful closeness with each other.

I love how your family worked out the blended family thing so well! What a nice role model for others, ladies.
